I am a licensed Marriage/Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. I maintain a private practice in Cape May, New Jersey.
With more than 25 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as a specialist in Contextual Family Therapy, I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are family of origin matters, blended families, adoption, and LGBT individuals/couples.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I have presented at National conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of Adoption, LGBT families, Child Welfare topics such as; Foundations of Infant Learning, Infant Trauma, and Childhood Traumatic Stress.
I am a trained Family Systems therapist, with special training as a Contextual Family Therapist; an approach that considers issues of fairness in relationships, intergenerational loyalties and the balance of give and take as a path to relational fulfillment. My therapeutic approach is to help clients identify the resources needed to find their voice, and offer practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges, and achieve their goals. I integrate complementary methodologies, and offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth and/or the relational healing they are committed to accomplishing.
